Patricia A. LeClaire

Patricia A. LeClaire, 75, of 44 White Oaks Road died yesterday at North Adams Regional Hospital.

Born in North Adams on Aug. 20, 1930, daughter of Anthony and Alice Lanoue DeMarsico, she graduated from Drury High School.

At the time of death, Mrs. LeClaire was employed part-time at Milne Public Library. Previously, she was a slide librarian in the art department at Williams College for 29 years.

She was a longtime communicant of St. Patrick-Raphael's Parish and a member of the former St. Patrick's Ladies Guild.

She was a Girl Scout and Brownie leader in Williamstown and, in earlier years, was a member of the Children of Mary at St. Anthony's Church in North Adams.

She and her husband, Ernest E. LeClaire, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary April 24.

Besides her husband, she leaves a son, John A. LeClaire of Bennington, Vt.; three daughters, Debra LaPlante of Phoenix, Diane Stanton of Amherst and Cheryl LeClaire of Williamstown; two brothers, Francis DeMarsico of North Bennington, Vt., and Donald DeMarsico of North Adams; a sister, Phyllis Lefebvre of Bear, Del.; eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Another daughter, Cynthia LeClaire, died in 1951 in infancy.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Patricia A. LeClaire, who died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, will take place Friday at 10 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPEL, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown.

Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery, North Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be tomorrow from 4 to 7. Omission of flowers. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Patrick's Church Food Pantry or to the Kidney Foundation through the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.

Survivors include eight grandchildren, Jacques, Michael and Michelle LeClaire, Loren LaPlante, Christopher and Jason Stanton, and Jeremy and Tyler Ethier, and two great-grandchildren, Ava Stanton and Ethan LeClaire.

She was predeceased by a brother, Robert DeMarsico, and a sister, Theresa DeMarsico. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
