Margaret Haviland, 84, of 20 Harrison Ave. died Saturday at Sweet Brook Health Care Centers.
Born in Williamstown on April 8, 1922, daughter of Maurice and Mary Liston Kelly, she was a 1940 graduate of the former Williamstown High School.
Mrs. Haviland was employed by Coakley, Pierpan, Dolan & Collins Insurance Agency as office manager, retiring in 1989. Before that, she worked at the former Alton Perry Insurance Co. on Spring Street.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick & St. Raphael's Parish.
She and her husband, Harold E. Haviland, were married April 27, 1946, at St. Patrick's Church. He died Nov. 7, 2003.
She leaves two daughters, Ann M. Moorehouse of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., and Joan M. Courtney of Williamstown, and three grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Margaret Haviland, who died Saturday, June 24, 2006, will take place Wednesday at 9 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPEL, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 at St. Patrick's Church, Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 4 to 7. Memorial donations are suggested for the St. Patrick's Food Pantry through the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
She also leaves two sons-in-law, George and Arthur, and three grandchildren, Melissa, Jennifer and Brian Moorehouse. She was predeceased by two brothers, John and Bernard Kelly.
