Louise May "Lulu" Webb, 90, of 118 Church St. died Saturday at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Barre, Vt., on May 18, 1916, daughter of David and Emma Cadwell Vania, she moved to Hartford, Conn., at the age of 6 and was a graduate of Weaver High School.
She also completed a course of study at a business school. She moved from East Lee to Cheshire in 1951 and to Williamstown in 1980.
Mrs. Webb was employed as secretary to the headmaster of Pine Cobble School in Williamstown for 26 years, retiring in 1991.
She was a Boston Red Sox fan.
Her husband, Arthur Charles Webb, whom she married in July 1941 in Brattleboro, Vt., died Aug. 11, 1980.
She leaves two sons, Lee Webb of Grants Pass, Ore., and Thomas Webb of Williamstown; two daughters, Carolyn Webb of Tucson, Ariz., and Althea Church of Oxford, Miss.; five grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The family of Louise "Lulu" Webb, who died Aug. 26, 2006, will receive friends in the main foyer of Pine Cobble School at 163 Gale Road in Williamstown on Wednesday Aug. 30, from 4 to 8.
Burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Cobble Scholarship Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice in care of FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247, which is in charge of arrangements.
She leaves four children and their partners, Lee and Pat Webb of Grants Pass, Ore., Thomas Webb and Sandra Arthur of Williamstown, Carolyn Webb and Herb Boskin of Tucson, Ariz., and Althea and Charles Church of Oxford, Miss.; five grandchildren, Kathryn Atkins of Tulsa, Okla., Jes Webb of Grants Pass, Ore., Nathan Webb of Astoria, Ore., and Evan and Cody Webb of Williamstown; a great-grandson, Evan Lee Webb of Grants Pass; a niece, Agnes Stewart of Woodbridge, Conn., and special friends John and Linda Gwozdz of Cheshire.
