Jerry Kief

Jerry Kief, 83, of 132 Main St. died Thursday at the Sweet Brook Transitional Care and Living Centers in Williamstown.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on May 15, 1923, son of the late Charles Kieverstein and Anna Gershanski Kieverstein.

He attended public schools in Brooklyn and graduated from the school of forestry at the University of Syracuse.

He was employed as a buyer for several advertising companies in New York City, retiring in 1986. He moved to Williamstown in 1990.

He leaves his wife, the former Pearl McGregor of Williamstown.

In addition to his wife, he leaves a daughter, Corinne Milne of Clarksburg, and two grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Jerry Kief died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006. At Mr. Kief's request, there will no funeral services or calling hours. He leaves two grandchildren, Cody Milne of Williamstown and Raina Milne of Clarksburg.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Betty and Verna. FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
