Shirley Jean Reopell

Shirley Jean Reopell, 71, of 116 Riverside Drive died yesterday at Sweet Brook Care Centers.

Born in North Adams on April 12, 1935, daughter of Elwin N. and Dorothy Cutler Fuller, she was a 1953 graduate of the former Williamstown High School.

Mrs. Reopell was last employed by Sweet Brook.

She was a member of the Women's Exchange.

Her husband, Richard Reopell, whom she married Feb. 11, 1961, in St. Raphael's Church, died on July 7, 1983.

She leaves two daughters, Deborah Tanner of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Nancy Vallieres of Williamstown, and four grandchildren.

A son, Ryan Reopell, died in infancy.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Shirley Reopell, who died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, will be Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 10 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPEL, North Adams.

Burial will follow in the family lot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 9 to 10. Donations may be made to Berkshire Humane Society or Williamstown Youth Center, both in care of the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.

She also leaves two sons-in-law, Matthew Tanner and James Vallieres, and four grandchildren, Shane Morris and Tyler Laliberte of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Lindsay Grimes and Jaimey Vallieres of Williamstown.
