WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Mildred Evelyn Moreau, 87, of 91 Bachand Ave. died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, at Sweet Brook Care Centers.
Born in North Adams on Jan. 28, 1920, daughter of Gaylord and Alta Lambert Jennings, she was raised by her grandparents, Abraham and Lydia Lambert. She graduated from Drury High School in 1938.
Mrs. Moreau was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. as a clerk for 40 years, retiring in 1981.
She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and of Our Lady of Mercy Church and an active volunteer at North Adams Regional Hospital.
She leaves her husband, Harold "Joe" Moreau, whom she married Nov. 16, 1946, in St. Francis' Church.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Moreau will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams. There will be no calling hours.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery in North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for North Adams Public Library through the funeral home.
