Barbara Lynette Munro

Barbara Lynette Munro, 74, of Luce Road, formerly of Buffalo, N.Y., died Sunday at Williamstown Commons.

Born in Buffalo, N.Y., on June 13, 1933, daughter of John and Evelyn Gaston Meidenbauer, she lived in Massachusetts and California before returning to Williamstown to raise her family.

Mrs. Munro was employed by Mount Greylock High School and the former Sprague Electric Co.

She was an active member of the Harper Center and enjoyed playing cards, bingo and dancing.

She leaves a brother, John J. Meidenbauer of Cheektowaga, N.Y.; a sister, Marilyn Fallis of Lancaster, N.Y.; four sons, David Munro of Cheaspeake, Va., Michael Munro of Albany, N.Y., John Munro of Williamstown, and Mark Munro of Spring Lake, N.J.; and eight grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- A memorial prayer service for Barbara Lynette Munro, who died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, will be held at the Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel, Main Street, Williamstown, on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.

There are no calling hours. The FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA is in charge of arrangements. Barbara was a grandmother of eight grandchildren, Brett, Kyle, Ian, David, Meghan, Meredith, Courtney and Jacqueline.
