Eleanor G. "Honey" Jones, 74, of 82 Nutmeg Lane, died Saturday at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Williamstown on Sept. 6, 1933, daughter of the late Harwood and Eleanor Powers Jones, she attended local schools and graduated from the former Williamstown High School in 1951.
Mrs. Jones was employed by Steiner Film for many years as an accounts payable agent. Before that, she worked at the former General Cable Co.
She was an accomplished bowler and traveled throughout the world for bowling competitions. She was a member of the Massachusetts Women's Bowling Association and was inducted in to the Massachusetts Hall of Fame in 1986. From 1964 to 1966, she was the New England Women's bowling champion. She was a tournament champion for many bowling tournaments throughout the area and country. She also enjoyed the study of genealogy, Williamstown and traveling with her dog, Jessie.
She leaves her lifelong friend, Shirley Valotta, with whom she resided; a sister, Nancy J. Rowan of Jacksonville, Ariz.; and a brother, Robert A. Jones of Williamstown.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral fo Eleanor G. "Honey" Jones, who died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Peter Daniels. Calling hours are Friday morning from 10 to 11 a.m. at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel.

She also leaves a sister-in-law, Frances Jones; two nephews, Travis and Lucas Rowan; and a grandniece, Rory Rowan
