WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Kenneth C. Buck, 60, of 76 Main St. died Friday, Dec. 26, 2008, at Albany, N.Y., after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Born in North Adams on Aug. 24, 1948, son of Theresa Gerry Buck and the late Alfred K. Buck, he attended schools in Williamstown and graduated in 1968 from McCann Technical School in North Adams.
At the time of his death, Mr. Buck was employed by H.A. George Fuel Co., where he had worked for many years.
He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing and was an active member of the Adams Outdoorsmen for Youth Club. He also was a member of the Sliver Greys.
Besides his mother, with whom he resided, he leaves two sisters, Susan O'Neil and her husband, Stephen, of Stephentown, N.Y., and Melissa Cyr and her husband, Eric, of Clarksburg; a brother, Alfred R. Buck and his wife, Janice, of North Adams; three nephews, Todd O'Neil, Scott Carpenter and Christopher Cyr; five nieces, Amy Leitner, Jennifer Buck, Allison Billard, Denise Bennington and Jillian Cyr; five grandnephews, a grandniece and a great-grandnephew.
He was predeceased by his sister Judith Wick in 1991.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mr. Buck will take place on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 30, at 1 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 11 to 1. Memorial donations are suggested for the Adams Outdoorsmen for Youth Club, P.O Box 122, Adams, MA 01220 or through the funeral home.
