Mary B. Dowhan, 89

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Mary Barbara Dowhan, 89, of Williamstown died Wednesday, March 4, 2009, at Sweet Brook Care Centers.

Born in Proctor, Vt., on Nov. 18, 1919, daughter of Michael and Josephine Klyszeiko Kuzma, she graduated from Pittsford (Vt.) High School and was employed by the Vermont Marble Co. She resided in Springfield, Vt., after her marriage and, since 1949, in Williamstown.

Mrs. Dowhan spent much of her time caring for her family. She was an amateur painter and a former member of the Taconic Golf Club and a communicant of St. Patrick's Church.

Her husband, Michael Dowhan, formerly of Springfield, is deceased.

She leaves one son, Michael Dowhan Jr. of New York City.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Dowhan will be celebrated Monday, March 9, at 10 from St. Patrick's Church. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, is in charge of arrangements.
