WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Richard Edward Dean Jr., 61, of 85 Bachand Ave. died Friday, June 12, 2009, at his home.
Born in North Adams on Feb. 21, 1948, a son of Pauline Foy Dean and the late Richard E. Dean Sr., he graduated from Mount Greylock Regional High School and received his bachelor of arts in history and his master's degree in education from Northeastern University in Boston.
Mr. Dean taught at Northeastern for several years and was last employed at Berkshire Bank in Pittsfield.
Besides his mother, of Williamstown, he leaves a daughter, Kelley Dean, and several aunts and uncles and cousins.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services will take place Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery in North Adams.
Memorial donations are suggested for the North Adams Adult Day Care Center through the funeral home.
