Theodore Peter Stasiowski Sr., 86

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Theodore Peter "Ted" Stasiowski Sr., 86, of 53 Langlois Ave., The Spruces, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000, at the Centers for Living & Rehabilitation in Bennington, Vt. He had resided there since Sept. 25.



He was born in Adams on Dec. 23, 1913, a son of John and Tekla Armata Stasiowski. He attended schools in Adams including St. Stanislaus Kostka Parochial School and the former Adams Memorial High School.



He was a veteran of WWII serving with the Army Air Forces as a staff sergeant with the 300th AAF Base Unit Squadron A. He was decorated with the American Theater Ribbon, Victory Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.



Mr. Stasiowski was employed for several years at the former H.W. Clark Biscuit Co. in North Adams. He then was employed at the former Windsor Print Works, also in North Adams, and was last employed as the manager and foreman of the Shipping Department at the Thomson Manufacturing Co. in Bennington, retiring in 1978.



He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church, North Adams, and was a member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge 567 and American Legion Post 13, both in Bennington. He was an avid sportsman and fisherman.



His wife the former Antoinette Mary Casuscelli, whom he married on Aug. 21, 1943, in St. Anthony of Padua Church, died March 1, 1971.



He leaves his son, Theodore Peter Stasiowski Jr. of Northampton; two grandsons, Peter Stasiowski of Hinsdale and Eric Stasiowski of Lancaster, Pa.; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mae Stasiowski, and two brothers, John and Stanley Stasiowski.
