Marion Sweet, 90

March 13, 2010

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Marion Sweet 90, of 118 Church St., died Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Sweet Brook Care Centers.

A lifelong resident of Williamstown, she was born on Oct. 20, 1919, a daughter of George and Mary Haley. She attended local schools.

Mrs. Sweet was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Her husband, Norman Sweet Sr., died March 15, 1969.

Survivors include two sons, David A. Sweet and Steven B. Sweet, both of Williamstown; two stepsons, Norman Sweet Jr. and Elmer Sweet, both of Williamstown; four stepdaughters, Barbara Glover of Pensacola, Fla., Shirley Jendrick of Rochester, N.Y., and Cynthia Raymond and Phyllis Locke of Ridgefield, Conn.; three brothers, Charles Haley, Richard Haley
and Robert Haley, all of Williamstown; three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Kacee and Amanda; and several step-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Brian Sweet, a sister, Helen Sweet, and two brothers, George Haley and James W. Haley.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services will take place Wednesday, March 17, at 11 a.m. at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel, Williamstown. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial donations are suggested for Village Ambulance through the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 521 West Main St., West Chapels, North Adams, MA 01247.
