WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Theresa M Buck, 82, of Main Street died Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2010, at North Adams Regional Hospital.
Born in Readsboro, Vt., on Aug. 14, 1928, daughter of Walter and Mary Hackette Gerry, she attended schools in Readsboro and North Adams.
Mrs. Buck was employed as a home health-care provider for many years in the area.
She was a communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick and Raphael Parish and a member of TOPS (Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) and active in the local farmers' market. She loved crafts and sewing.
Her husband, Alfred K. Buck, whom she married in 1946, died in 1985.
She leaves two daughters, Susan L. O'Neil and her husband, Stephen, of Stephentown, N.Y., and Melissa Cyr and her husband, Eric, of Clarksburg; a son, Alfred R. Buck and his wife, Janice, of North Adams; four brothers, Robert Gerry of Williamstown, Walter Gerry of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Roger Gerry and Joseph Gerry, both of Pownal, Vt.; eight grandchildren, Todd O'Neil, Scott Carpenter, Christopher Cyr, Amy Leitner, Jennifer Buck, Allison Billard, Denise Bennington and Jillian Cyr, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son Kenneth C. Buck on Dec. 26, 2008, her daughter Judith Wick in 1991 and her sister, Philomena Messina.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Buck will take place Friday, Sept. 24, at 11 at St. Patrick's Church in Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday morning from 9 to 10:30 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels. Memorial donations may be made to VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
