PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Patric Jarad Couture, 39, of Pittsfield, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at the family home on Bridges Road, Williamstown, from complications of Dandy-Walker Syndrome.
Born in Tarrent County, Texas, on Oct. 29, 1971, son of Barbara Couture of Williamstown, he lived in the Houston area until moving with his family to Williamstown in 1984.
Mr. Couture attended Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown and Crotched Mountain School in Greenfield, N.H., graduating in 1993. He moved to Pittsfield in 1994 and had participated in a Sullivan & Associates program. He had many friends at the numerous coffee spots he visited in the Pittsfield area.
Besides his mother, he leaves six brothers, Roman, Noli, Micah, Peder, Jordan and Chayton Couture, all at home; two sisters, Leah and Katrina, also at home; and his many friends and caregivers at Sullivan and Associates, including his longtime caregiver Joe Galaburri.
He was predeceased by his brothers Jody, Miguel and Jaazz Couture; and his grandparents George and Catherine McCann Couture.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A private service for the family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.
Donations in Mr. Couture's memory may be made to New England Deaf Blind Center at Perkins School for the Blind or VNA & Hospice of Northern Berkshire through Flynn and Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
