WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Marie Clark, 86, of 118 Church St., died on Monday, April 18, 2011, at Sweetbrook Care Center.
She was born in Pownal, Vt., on July 23, 1924, to Franklin and Myrtle Myers Pratt.
She attended Pownal schools. During World War II, she worked for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. Afterward she worked as a nurse’s aide for many years. She was a devoted mother and loving grandmother.
She leaves her daughter, Jeanne Marie Pedercini and her husband, Keith, of Pownal, Vt.; son James R. Durkee and his wife, Patricia, of Pittsfield; brother Edward Pratt of Williamstown; and grandchildren Caleb Pedercini, Christopher Durkee and Jamie Ellen Moncecchi.
She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley V. Clark, who died in February of 1966. A brother, Daniel Pratt, and sisters Alma Ricker, Francis Larabee, Myrtle Myers, Mary Denelli and Hazel Bellows also are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — There will be no calling hours. A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Clark may be made to the American Cancer Society. The Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
