WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Dorothy Angela Rushbrook, 84, of 50 Berkshire Drive, died Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at her home.
She was born in North Adams on Dec. 11, 1926, a daughter of John and Matilda Bordi Rosse. She graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1944 and also graduated from the former Bliss Business College in 1946.
Mrs. Rushbrook was last employed as an administrative assistant for the Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic in Springfield, retiring in 1992. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams.
Her husband, Edward Rushbrook, whom she married in May of 1961, died July 23, 1980.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Sandra Rushbrook of Rowayton, Conn., and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her son, Steven Rushbrook, who died Oct. 14, 2010; sisters Louise Matrigali, Edith Baldessarini, Leana Mancuso, Mary Rosse and Emma Ariazi; and brothers Theodore Rosse, Joseph Rosse, John Rosse and James "Jack" Rosse.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services for Dorothy Rushbrook will take place Friday, May 13, at 11 a.m. at Village Cemetery in West Stockbridge. There are no calling hours.
