WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Estella B. Lewis, 91, of 51 Arnold St. died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2011, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Adams on Sept. 15, 1920, daughter of John and Bronislawa Aniszewski Mikaniewicz, she graduated with honors from the former Adams High School.
Mrs. Lewis worked at Williams College for many years until her retirement in 1985.
She was a communicant of the former St. Raphael's Church.
Her husband, Harry W. Lewis, who she married in 1940, died Nov. 28, 2009.
She leaves a son, John Lewis of Williamstown; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Her daughter, Mary Legacy died in 1998. Six brothers and sisters are also deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Lewis will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 3:15 p.m. at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel in Williamstown. Burial will be at a later date in Eastlawn Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.

I am so grateful to have been able to spend time with you and mom at her bedside last Tuesday.
She was at peace knowing you were right beside her.
You were there for her when she needed you most.
