WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Mary Emily Costanzo, 93, of Williamstown died Friday, Jan. 13, 2012.
Born in Pittston, Pa., a daughter of Giovanni and Serafine Sciabatta Forte, she graduated from Pittston High School and later resided in Schenectady, N.Y. She moved to Williamstown in 1998.
Mrs. Costanzo had been employed at Maqua Co. in Schenectady for many years.
She was a communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick and Raphael.
Her husband James C. Costanzo whom she married June 7, 1941, in St. Rocco's Church in Pittston, died Feb. 21, 2003.
She leaves her daughter, Marie Ostrander and her husband, Gary, with whom she made her home; a son, Salvatore Costanzo and his wife, Nina, of Stuyvesant, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Gretchen West and her husband, Adam, of Pittsfield, David Costanzo and his wife, Lori, of Kinderhook, N.Y., Matthew Ostrander and his wife, Heather, and Kara Daoust and husband, Christian, of Lanesborough; five great-grandchildren, Emily, Lucas, Ben, Jimmy and Mark, and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers, Frances, Rosalie, Jenny, Angelina, Leonard and Joseph.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Costanzo was celebrated Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Sherman Burbank Memorial Chapel. Burial followed in the family plot in Southlawn Cemetery.
Memorial donations are suggested for the Family Life Support Center, Louison House, in Adams through Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
