WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Margaret Mae Garner, 94, of 118 Church St. died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Bennington, Vt., on Feb. 5, 1918, daughter of Mials and Mathilda Caron Robson, she attended North Adams schools.
Mrs. Robson worked at the former McCraw & Tatro, Boston Store, Kay's and Sprague Electric companies. She was last employed at North Adams State College in its food service department for 13 years until her retirement in 1981.
She was a member of the Williamstown Friendship Club and the Red Hat Society.
Her husband, George Garner, a retired North Adams police officer whom she married Nov. 17, 1934, died on Sept. 21, 1976.
She leaves two daughters, Patricia Picard and Cheryl Garner, both of Williamstown; a son, George Garner of Wells, Vt.; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A granddaughter, Lynn Marie Picard, and her siblings Virginia Belanger and Mials Robson predeceased her.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Garner will be Wednesday, June 13, at 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours.
