Emma L. Archambault, 88

June 22, 2012

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Emma Louise Archambault, 88, of 22 Birch Lane died Friday, June 22, 2012, at Sweet Brook Care Centers surrounded by her family.

Born in Williamstown on Aug. 24, 1923, daughter of Charles T. and Jesse May Ellsworth Hunt, she attended Williamstown schools.

Mrs. Archambault had been employed by the former Ankin Chemical Co.

She was a communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick and Raphael. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and cooking for her family. She had a great love for her children, grandchildren, and animals, especially dogs.

Her husband Hermenegild Anthony "Red" Archambault, whom she married in July 1941, died on July 19, 1992.

She leaves two daughters, Judith Simpson and her husband, John, of Granby, Conn., and Donna Mason of Williamstown; a son, John "Jack" Archambault of Onset; eight grandchildren, Gary Szlachetka, Darrell Szlachetka, Heather Goodell, Warren Mason, Dr. Deirdre Mason-Hauver, Jamie Archambault, Bree Archambault and Bear Archambault; six great-grandchildren, Danielle Archambault, Ashley Goodell, Kaylie Archambault, Taylor Mason, Brandon Mason and A. Greyer; nieces and nephews; her cousin Emma Jobin; and her former son-in-law, James Mason of North Adams.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Tony Archambault in 1991; four brothers, Charles T. Hunt Jr., Henry Hunt, Roy Hunt and Richard Hunt, and two sisters, Dolores Hunt and Catherine Speanberg.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Archambault will be celebrated Tuesday, June 26, at noon at St. Patrick's Church, Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.

A calling hour will be held Tuesday in the church for one hour preceding the funeral. Memorial donations are suggested for the Sweet Brook Activities Fund or HospiceCare of the Berkshires in care of the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
