WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Patricia Chilson, 76, of 35 Adams Road, Meadowvale Apt B8, died Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in North Adams on Dec. 8, 1935, to Theodore and Mabel Blake Garrison, she attended Williamstown schools.
Mrs. Chilson was employed at the former Nicholas Book Store and lastly at Excelsior Printing in North Adams, retiring in 2001.
She loved the ocean and whales and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Her husband, Donald E. Chilson, whom she married on Oct. 2, 1954, in the former Central Baptist Church, died Oct. 22 1974.
She leaves her beloved son, Donald W. Chilson and his wife, Laurie, of Salem, N.Y.; her sisters, June Gaffey of North Adams and Beverley Walsh and Virginia Darling, both of Pownal, Vt.; her former daughter-in-law and close friend, Diane McAlpine of Williamstown; her cherished grandchildren Cassie Beverly and her husband, Dana, of Clarksburg and Connor Chilson of Salem, N.Y.; her great-granddaughter, Briella Beverly, whom she adored, and nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her brother, Theodore Garrison Jr., and her sister Barbara Sylvester predeceased her.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Chilson will take place Friday, Aug. 17, at 1 p.m. at the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown.
