Virginia M. Farinon, 90

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Virginia Mary Farinon, 90, of 118 Church St. died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Sweet Brook Care Centers.

Born in North Pownal, Vt., on Oct. 15, 1921, daughter of Clarence Brothers and Pauline Bechard Brothers Rooney, she graduated from the former Williamstown High School.

Mrs. Farinon was last employed by the former LeCountry Restaurant for more than 20 years until her retirement.

She was a communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick and Raphael and was a member of the Friendship Club in Williamstown. She enjoyed home decorating.

Her husband, Francis "Piccolo" Farinon, whom she married on Jan. 18, 1969, died on Jan. 21, 1987.

She leaves a daughter, Susan M. Archambeau Mitchell of Averill Park, N.Y.; a stepdaughter, Donna Sampson of Williamstown; three grandchildren, Kirk Mitchell of Hancock, Kimberly Gaylord of Peru and Darren Mitchell of East Greenbush, N.Y.; seven great-grandchildren, Tomas, Katherine, Ross, Alexander, Erik, Hunter, and Lucy; two stepgrandchildren, stepgreat-grandchildren and nieces.

A sister, Joyce Maynard, is deceased.

FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. Farinon will be celebrated Thursday, Sept. 6, at 11 from St. Patrick's Church. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.

A calling hour will be held Thursday morning from 10 to 11 at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
