Roselyn J. Vincelette, 89

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Roselyn J. Vincelette, 89, died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012, at North Adams Regional Hospital. A longtime resident of Williamstown, she had most recently resided at Spruces Mobile Home Park until her home was destroyed by flooding from Tropical Storm Irene in 2011.

Born in North Adams on Feb. 27, 1923, shortly after her twin Madelyn, to George and Evelyn Charbonneau, lifelong residents of the city, she graduated from Drury High School

Mrs. Vincelette began working for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams after graduation.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She was an avid sports fan and loved to play golf at Waubeeka Golf Links, where she and her husband were members for more than 20 years. She was also very active in numerous bowling leagues and was known as a good bowler but even better friend and companion.

Her husband, Louis Vincelette, whom she met and fell in love with at Sprague's, were married in 1944. They were together until his death in 1998.

Besides her sister, Madelyn Clermont of North Adams, she leaves her son, Paul Vincelette and his wife, Eliza, of Virginia Beach, Va.; two grandsons, Chad Vincelette and his wife, Beth, of Virginia Beach and Kurt Vincelette and his wife, Kelly of San Jose, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Jackson, Annie and Charlee, and her two beloved nieces Jacie Clermont and Janice Andrews.

FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Vincelette will be held on Monday, Sept. 10, at 9:15 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 from St. Patrick's Church, Williamstown. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Sunday, Sept. 9, from 5 to 7 at the funeral home.
