Edith Hartman Langevin, 94

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Edith M. Hartman Langevin, 94, of 1 Nelson St. died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Williamstown Commons.

Born in North Adams on May 5, 1918, a daughter of Martin and Albina Bissaillon Walden, she attended schools in North Adams.

Mrs. Langevin was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. and then as a pharmacy assistant for many years, both in North Adams.

She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church in North Adams. She had been a member of the former North Adams Moose Lodge and of the North Adams Eagles Club.

Her first husband, William E. Hartman, of Middletown, Conn., died May 10, 1983.

Her husband, Edward Langevin, died March 28, 2001.

She leaves three sons and a stepson, William N. Hartman and Richard Langevin, both of Williamstown, Daniel A. Hartman of Dallas and Keith N. Hartman of North Adams; a daughter, Eileen H. Hartman Brassard; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, seven great-greatgrandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers and three sisters, Frederick, Martin and Arthur Walden, Marion LaBombard, Lillian Lavarriere and Jessie Burtt, and three grandchildren, Cathy Hartman, Eric Hartman and James Larabee.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Graveside services for Mrs. Langevin will take place Friday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. at the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown.

There will be no calling hours. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
