WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Anna G. Lardas, 89, of 166 Luce Road, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in Pittsburgh in 1922, daughter of George and Lillian Lardas, she was an accomplished artist and studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. Her love of nature and spirit were captured in her paintings of the Arizona desert and Berkshire Mountains.
Ms. Lardas also had a great love of music, especially classical and opera. She had a lively sense of humor and had a wonderful smile, said family, that could light up a room. She enjoyed reading, writing, and spending time with her family.
She leaves her two daughters Michele Alice and Kim Alice, both of Williamstown; a son, David Steiner and his wife, Ina, of Natick; two brothers, Nicholas Lardas and Jack Lardas, and nieces and nephews.
Her sister, Elizabeth Zarna, predeceased her.
Her family wishes to thank the wonderful and caring staff at the Williamstown Commons for all of their support.
FUNERAL NOTICE — At Ms. Lardas' request, there will be no public memorial service. Expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Berkshire Humane Society through Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
