WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Pauline Louise Brignolo, 99, of 1616 West Glendale Ave., Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of 20 Frenier Drive, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at her home.
Born in Riva del Garda, Trento, Austria on April 30, 1913, daughter of Ferruccio and Genevia Vivaldi Rigatti, she came to the United States in 1921 and lived in Readsboro and Bennington, Vt., attending schools there. She moved to North Adams after her marriage and to Williamstown in 1950.
Mrs. Brignolo was employed by Williams College for more than 28 years, retiring in 1983. Prior to her marriage, she worked at the former BenMont Paper in Bennington.
She was a communicant of the Parish of Sts. Patrick & Raphael Church. She was a member of the Friendship Club and the Williams College Retirees.
Her husband, Albert J. Brignolo, whom she married on Jan. 5, 1937, in Bennington, died on March 29, 2002.
She leaves a son, Dennis A. Brignolo and his wife, Lynda, of Lanesborough; two daughters, Joan L. Brignolo and Linda A. Hambaugh, both of Phoenix; five grandchildren, Janna Robson, Justine Spinizola, Cindy Parnell, Bethany Bassett and Matthew Brignolo; five great-grandchildren, Cole, Mason, Troy, Blake and Audrey, and nieces and nephews.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Brignolo will be Thursday, Dec. 6, at 10:30 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Patrick's Church. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 9 to 10:30 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Williamstown Ambulance Service or St. Patrick's Food Pantry in care of the funeral home.
