Bonnie J. Kennedy, 42

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Bonnie Jean Kennedy, 42, of Miami Beach, Fla., and formerly of Williamstown, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at her home.

Born in North Adams on Jan. 18, 1970, a daughter of Donna Bona Westcott and of J. Michael Kennedy, both of Williamstown, she attended schools in Williamstown and graduated with honors in 1988 from Mount Greylock Regional High School, where she was a member of the soccer and ski teams. She also attended Westfield State College and the University of Connecticut. She was enrolled at Brown Mackie College in the health care program.

Ms. Kennedy was last employed as a home health-care provider.

She was an accomplished equestrienne and won several awards. She also enjoyed camping, being near the ocean, fishing, snowmobile riding and spending time with her late maternal grandparents, Gino and Helen Bona. She was a kind-hearted and caring person.

Besides her mother and stepfather, Sam Westcott Jr., and her father and stepmother, Mary Courtney Kennedy, she leaves two daughters, Jessica Brittany Reid and her fiance, Eric, and Amanda Elizabeth Reid and her boyfriend, Mathew; two stepsisters, Susan Landry and her husband, Peter, and Courtney George; four stepbrothers, Stephen Westcott and his wife, Gloria, David Westcott and his wife, Tammy, Damon George and his wife, Gina, and Seth George; her godmother, Donna Maria Morgan, and aunts, uncles and cousins and the Remillard family.

FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services to celebrate the life of Ms. Kennedy will take place Saturday, Jan. 12, at 11 at Second Congregational Church of South Williamstown. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery.

Memorial donations are suggested for the Berkshire Humane Society through the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
