WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Joel Nicholas ran for 175 yards and three touchdowns Saturday to lead the Williams College football team to a 42-3 win over Trinity.

 

Bobby Maimaron threw for 62 yards and a touchdown for Williams (7-0) which plays its homecoming game against Wesleyan next Saturday.

 

Field Hockey

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Trinity's India Shay scored in the third quarter to break a tie and send the Bantams past Williams, 2-1, in the NESCAC quarter-finals.

 

Carson Stephenson and Gates Tenerowicz split time in goal for Williams (11-5).

 

Men's Soccer

NEW LONDON, Conn. -- Connecticut College took a 2-0 lead early in the second half and held on for a 2-1 win over Williams in the NESCAC quarter-finals.

 

Will Felitto scored, and Ben Diffley made seven saves for Williams (7-7-2).

 

Volleyball

AMHERST, Mass. -- Caroline Tilton had 15 kills to lead the Amherst volleyball team to a three-set win over Williams.

 

Celia Adams had a match-high 18 kills for Williams in the 24-26, 25-20, 25-12, 26-24 loss.

 

Williams (13-6, 6-4 NESCAC) plays Tufts at Bowdoin on Friday in the NESCAC quarter-finals.
