Northern Berkshire United Way Elects Officers and Directors

Emily Standford, Bonnie Howland, and Celia Norcross were newly elected to the board at its October meeting.
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Northern Berkshire United Way announced newly elected and renewed board members and officers for the 2021-2022 year.
 
"Our board of directors consists of some of the most dedicated individuals in our community," said President of the Board, Leah Thompson. "I thank the board for their commitment and look forward to working with the incoming members to maintain a strong and effective United Way that helps care for our community."
 
Emily Standford, Bonnie Howland, and Celia Norcross were newly elected to the board at its October meeting.
 
Emily Stanford is the Branch Manager of Adams location of Greylock Federal Credit Union. She has previously volunteered with Junior League of Berkshire County and Habitat of Humanity. Emily is serving a three year term on the board of directors. 
 
Bonnie Howland is the Director of Student Financial Services and Interim Registrar at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She has been a past member of the Board of Directors for Berkshire Community Action Council, and is currently a board member of the MS Support Foundation in North Adams. Bonnie is serving as the VP of Finance after two years of service on the agency finance committee.
 
Celia Norcross is the Dean of Students at Berkshire Community College. She has served as a board member, coach, and educator for over 15 years with various sports organizations including the Adams Soccer Club, Adams Cheshire Savoy Soccer and Hoosac Valley High School Sports. 
 
Organizational officers continuing or elected to a one year term: President, Leah Thompson, Vice President, Tim Burdick of Adams Community Bank, VP Allocations, Yvette Stoddard of Hillcrest Educational Centers, VP Finance, Bonnie Thompson of MCLA, VP Board Development, Kelly McCarthy of Berkshire Health Systems, VP Community Needs, William Blackmer, Retired MA State Police, VP Campaign, Ellen Sutherland of Pine Cobble School, Past President, Attorney Tom Rumbolt, and Clerk, Sharon Burke, of Specialty Minerals. 
 
Board members continuing their terms: Tyler Bissaillon, of Smith Bros. McAndrews Insurance,  Attorney Theresa O'Bryant of MCLA, Christine DeMasi Naughton of Pine Cobble School,  Sharon DeMyer-Nemser of the community, Rich Weisenflue of BFAIR, and Candace Wall of 413 Theraworks.
 
Sharon DeMyer-Nemser and Dr. Charles Nemser will continue as campaign chairs for the 2021-2022 annual campaign. 
 
"Campaigns will once again be primarily conducted virtually as we continue to be mindful of the COVID-19 pandemic." said Christa Collier, Executive Director.
