WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Residents are invited to a meet and greet for finalists for the town manager position on Friday, April 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Log on Spring Street.
Those candidates will be finalized after the Town Manager Search Committee meets in executive session on Thursday to finalize a list of people to be interviewed by the Select Board on Friday and Saturday.
The Select Board interviews will be held in open session starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, and the informal event for community members will follow that evening.
"If Williamstown citizens would like to offer their opinions on candidates after the meet and greet, they can email the Select Board at or speak to a member at the meet and greet," said Select Board member Hugh Daley, who co-chairs the search committee. "We look forward to hearing your feedback."
The Select Board then will meet again on Saturday at 1:30 to deliberate and potentially offer the position to one of the finalists.
Williamstown has been without a permanent town manager since last spring. The first round of the search process yielded two candidates for Select Board interviews in October, but the board chose not to offer the post to either finalist.
Interim Town Manager Charlie Blanchard is set to leave the town's service this month.
