MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Mara Kipnis went 2-for-4 with a double Sunday to lead the Williams College softball team to a 7-3 win over Middlebury in the first game of a double-header.

 

The Panthers came back to take the nightcap, 10-4, behind home runs from Abby Santis and Noelle Ruschil.

 

Elyse Chan struck out six for Williams in the Game 1 win.

 

Williams (10-9) goes to Smith College for a double-header on Tuesday.

 

Women's Lacrosse

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Annie Eddy scored four goals to lead Colby to a 15-7 win over Williams.

 

Claudia Russell scored a pair of goals, and Caitlyn Joyce stopped 10 shots for Williams.

 

Williams (3-6) goes to Western Connecticut State on Wednesday.
