WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Kelly McGuigan hit a walkoff single Friday to give the Williams softball team a 3-2 win over Wesleyan.

 

Williams came back from deficits of 1-0 and 3-2 to improve to 13-9 this spring (2-2 NESCAC).

 

Tayler Wise and Bailey Burger-Moore each had two hits, including a double. Elyse Chan struck out nine to earn the complete-game win in the circle.

 

Game 2 of Fridays double-header was suspended due to darkness. It will resume on Saturday morning with Williams up, 6-3. Game 3 of the weekend series will follow.

 

Baseball

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Mitchell Schroeder went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI Friday to lead Middlebury to a 5-4 win over Williams.

 

Daniel Lynch went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs for Williams (7-11, 1-3), which returns to Middlebury for a double-header on Sunday.
