Williams College Coach Joe Doyle Recognized

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Longtime Williams College assistant football coach and now manager of football operations Joe Doyle has been named to the USA Lacrosse Massachusetts Hall of Fame.
 
Doyle played lacrosse at UMass in 1963 and 1964 and was an original and longtime Western Mass lacrosse official.
 
Field Hockey
BABSON PARK, Mass. -- Emily Batchelor scored a pair of goals Saturday to Williams team to a 3-2 in over Babson.
 
Natalia Nolan also scored a goal, and Carson Stephenson and Gates Tenerowicz split time in Williams' goal, stopping two shots.
 
Williams (2-0) goes to Smith on Wednesday.
 
Women's Soccer
MANCHESTER, Vt. -- Emma Lynch and Sam Phan scored for Williams in a 2-0 win over Castleton State.
 
Margaret Huelin made three saves for Williams (1-1), which hosts Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Sunday afternoon.
 
Men's Soccer
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Mount Greylock Regional School alumnus Brady Foehl assisted on two goals as Williams defeated Mount Aloysius, 3-1, on Cole Field.
 
Connor Huleatt, Keel Brissett and Nick Boardman each scored a goal.
 
Williams keeper Ben Diffley stopped five shots.
 
Williams (1-0-1) goes to Babson on Sunday.
 
Volleyball
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Williams (2-1) departed the Union Invitational with two wins, defeating Skidmore College, 3-0, and Union College, 3-1.
 
Lauren Kauppila had 18 assists and 10 digs against Skidmore.
 
Cross Country
LATHAM, N.Y. -- Elias Lindgren won Saturday's 8-kilometer race at the Siena Invitational to lead Williams to a third-place finish at the event.
 
The Williams women placed sixth at the event behind a 12-place showing by Molly FitzGibbons. Mount Greylock alum and first-year collegian Kate Swann placed 73rd in a 165-runner field in her first college competition.
