Williams Men's Soccer Reaches NCAA Elite 8

GAMBIER, Ohio -- Nathan Song scored early in the second half, and the Williams College men's soccer team went on to a 1-0 win over Ohio Northern on Saturday in the third round of the NCAA Division III tournament.
 
Ben Diffley made three saves to earn the shutout win for Williams (8-1-11), which faces Kenyon on Sunday afternoon in the national quarter-finals.
 
Women's Soccer
DALLAS, Texas -- Johns Hopkins' Breukelen Woodard scored two goals six minute apart in overtime to give her team a 2-1 win over Williams in the third round of the NCAA Division III tournament.
 
Williams' Jaquelin Nordhoff broke a scoreless tie in the second minute of OT. Johns Hopkins responded to tie the game just 21 seconds later.
 
Leyla Kamshad stopped nine shots for Williams, which finishes the year 11-5-3.
 
Men's Cross Country
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- John Lucy and Elias Lindgren earned all-America honors to lead Williams to a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships.
 
Women's Cross Country
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Molly Fitzgibbons and Ella Ball each earned all-America honors to lead Williams to a ninth-place finish a the DIII Championshsips.
 
Men's Hockey
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bowdoin erased a 2-1 first-period deficit to earn a 5-2 win over Williams.
 
Sean Clarke and Mac Carso each scored a goal for Williams.
 
Cal Sandquist stopped 21 shots for Williams (0-2), which hosts Babson on Saturday.
 
Women's Hockey
BRUNSWICK, Maine -- Ella Chiang scored one goal and assisted on another to lead Williams to a 3-1 win over Bowdoin.
 
Sophia Da Silva made 25 saves for Williams (1-1), which hosts Endicott on Tuesday night.
 
Men's Basketball
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Declan Porter scored 17 poits to lead six players in double figures for Williams in a 95-68 win over SUNY-Delhi in the final of the Purple and Gold Classic.
 
Williams (3-0) travels to North Adams on Tuesday to play MCLA.
 
Women's Basketball
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Maddy Mandyck and Ariana Gerig each scored 16 points to lead Williams to a 76-69 win over Albright.
 
Williams (2-0) hosts Stevenson on Sunday afternoon.
 
Wrestling
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. -- Peter Kane earned five pins at 157 pounds to lead Williams to an eighth-place finish at the Doug Parker Invitational.
