December Clark Art First Free Sundays12:08PM / Friday, November 25, 2022 | |
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Clark Art Institute's First Sunday Free program continues on Sunday, Dec. 4, offering free admission to the galleries and special exhibitions from 10 am–5 pm, along with a series of special activities from 1–4 pm.
December's theme is "Celebration." The celebration-themed special programs include art-making and other surprises in the Clark Center's lower level and galleries. Visitors can take part in making a mirror celebrating whoever is reflected and making a card to share with a friend.
Enjoy the Clark's permanent collection following the In for the Winter self-guide and see the Clark's newest exhibition, On the Horizon: Art and Atmosphere in the Nineteenth Century. On view in the Eugene V. Thaw Gallery of the Clark's Manton Research Center, the exhibition chronologically charts the visual response to the ideation, use, and eventual misuse of air in the nineteenth century.
