MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- Arianna Gerig and Maddy Mandyck each had a double-double Saturday to lead the Williams College women's basketball team to a 56-50 win over Middlebury.

 

Gerig scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Mandyck finished with 11 points and 17 boards.

 

Williams (13-6, 4-1 NESCAC) goes to Tufts on Friday.

 

Men's Basketball

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Alex Sobel scored 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead Middlebury to a 60-55 win over Williams.

 

Cole Prowitt-Smith scored 20 for Williams (16-2, 3-2), which hosts Tufts on Friday.

 

Women's Hockey

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Erin Pye was credited with 55 saves for Williams in a 3-1 win over Colby.

 

Claire Murphy had a goal and an assist for Williams (9-7, 4-6), which hosts Plattsburgh State on Tuesday.

 

Men's Hockey

WATERVILLE, Maine -- Colby scored four straight goals in a 4-2 win over Williams.

 

Jonah Gold had a goal and an assist for Williams (4-11-1, 2-7-1), which hosts Tufts on Friday.
