WATERVILLE, Maine -- Jesse Shapiro scored six goals Saturday to lead the Williams College men's lacrosse team to a 15-8 win over Colby.
Matthew Freitas stopped 12 shots to earn the win in goal for Williams (2-1, 2-0 NESCAC).
Women's Lacrosse
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Christina Halloran and Lauren Morganlander each had two goals and an assist to lead Williams to a 10-8 win over Colby.
Caitlyn Joyce and Caroline Pratt split time in goal for Williams (3-1,1-1), combining for eight saves.
Track and Field
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Williams College junior Jackson Anderson set a school record with 5,364 points to win the heptathlon at the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships on Saturday.
Anderson closed the multi-event competition with a first-place finish in the 60 meter hurdles, hitting the tape in 8.11 seconds, and a second-place finish in the 1,000 with a personal best time of 2:47.39.
