MEDFORD, Mass. – Williams College first-year Sadie Leonard Saturday won games against Trinity and Bates by scores of 1-0 and 2-1 to advance to the New England Small College Athletic Confernece title game.

 

In 14 innings, Leonard struck out 28 batters to lead Williams into Sunday's final against top-seeded Tufts.

 

Williams' only run against Trinity came in the first inning when Sidney Miller singled through the right side, Sydney Fleming walked, and Kelly McGuigan singled up the middle, giving Miller the chance to score.

 

Against Bates, Fleming doubled in a run in the first. The Bobcats tied it in the bottom of the inning, but Adhya Tandon hit a solo home run for Williams in the top of the second.
