Williams Football Comes from Behind to Win Opener

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Owen McHugh threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 77 yards to lead Williams to a 25-22 win over Colby on Saturday.
 
Mario Fischetti ran for 119 yards and a touchdown for Williams (1-0), which fell behind, 14-0, and scored 25 straight points.
 
Williams goes to Bowdoin College on Saturday.
 
Cross Country
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- John Lucey led a 1-2-3 sweep for the Williams men, who took first place at the Little Three Championship on Saturday.
 
Charles Namiot and Nikhil DeNatale placed second and third, respectively, for Williams.
 
The Williams women placed second to Amherst. Morgan Eigel led Williams with a third place finish.
 
Volleyball
CLINTON, N.Y. -- Williams beat Hamilton in five sets and swept St. Lawrence to improve to 7-0 this fall.
 
Sydney Eyestone had 18 kills, and Lauren Kauppila passed out 52 assists for Williams in the 3-2 win over the Continentals.
 
Williams hosts Amherst on Friday.
