Harrington placed 21st and helped the Skyhawks finish second as a team at her first collegiate race, a 5-kilometer event at the 41-team UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
Harrington and her Stonehill teammates compete this week at the Paul Short Run at Lehigh University.
In Colchester, Vt., on Friday, Abby Kittler (Pittsfield) and the St. Michael's cross country team hosted what is believed to be the only same-distance men's and women's event in the country, second annual the Equality Invitational.
Kittler, a senior, placed 14th on the 8K course to help the Division II Purple Knights finish within 15 points of DI Vermont.
St. Michael's sophomore Jocelyn Sommers (Wahconah) also competed in the event.
The Purple Knights next action comes on Oct. 7 in Westfield, Mass., at the James Earley Invitational at Stanley Park.
Mount Greylock graduate Parker Winters and the Framingham State men started the year with a third-place finish at the Rams' Jim Sheehan Memorial Invitational. Winters added to the team score with the squad's third-best finish in the race.
On the gridiron, Ryan Scott (Wahconah) has appeared in one game under center at Westfield State this fall. He completed one of his two pass attempts for 14 yards in a loss at Western Connecticut. The Owls (0-4) host Mass Maritime on Saturday.
Pittsfield High graduate and Bucknell University sophomore Kieran Coscia has appeared in one game on the offensive line for the Bison. Bucknell (1-2) travels to face Lafayette on Saturday, a game scheduled to be shown on ESPN-plus.
Wahconah grad Brody Calvert has continued to show his scoring prowess in his first year of college soccer at Mass Maritime. He has a team-high six goals to go with one assist in eight games this fall.
Mass Maritime (1-5-2) hosts Salem State on Friday.
Westfield State sophomore Isabella LaCasse (McCann Tech) played 14 minutes in the Owls' win over Mass Maritime on Sept. 16. It was the first appearance of the year for the Westfield State sophomore. The Owls (5-4) host MCLA on Saturday.
Finn Welch (Mount Greylock) helped the Springfield College men's golf team place 19th at this month's Williams Invitational at Taconic Golf Club. Welch, whose fall sport was soccer for the Mounties, carded rounds of 82 and 86 at the event.
If you know a college student-athlete from a Berkshire County high school who should be included in an upcoming College Collage, please email
