Williamstown Temporary Closure of Route 2 at Green River Bridge

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that Route 2 will be closed at the Green River Bridge in Williamstown, from 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, until 5:00 p.m. on
Wednesday, July 10. 
 
The closure is necessary to allow for the placement and initial setting of concrete on the bridge deck.
 
During this closure, traffic will be detoured via Cole Avenue to North Hoosac Road to Ashton Avenue. Businesses on both sides of the bridge will remain open and accessible.
 
Appropriate detour signage and message boards will be in place to alert the public to the upcoming closure. 
 
Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution. 
 
All scheduled work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
