WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Clark Art Institute holds its inaugural First Sunday Free of the season on Sunday, Oct. 5.

In celebration of architect Javier Senosiain's mosaic serpent sculpture "Coata III," the October First Sunday Free's theme is "Sensational Serpent." Enjoy free museum admission from 10 am–5 pm and take part in free special activities from 1–4 pm.

From 1–4 pm, see real live snakes and then mirror their scales and slithers with colorful mosaics and watercolors. At 2 pm, join a Clark educator for an all-ages engagement with the sculpture.

Each First Sunday Free, visitors are welcome to make a mini sculpture inspired by one of the six sculptures in the exhibition and add it to the Clark's growing Ground/work 2025-inspired mural.

Admission and activities are free. For accessibility questions, call 413 458 0524.

Family programs are supported by Allen & Company.
