SVHC Presents at American Hospital Association Rural Healthcare Leadership Conference

Williamstown Farmers Market Returns May 14

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The first farmers market of the season will be May 14 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the lower Spring Street parking lot   This year the market will feature returning vendors, along with a variety of new vendors, including a fishmonger, knife sharpener, baker, chef, and much more.    Again this year there will be a host of of musicians performing at the market.    The Farmers Market partners with market vendors and local food pantries through the Williamstown Farmers Market's Community Essentials Initiative, which purchases produce from vendors to donate to north Berkshire food pantries. Williams College's Softball Coach Earns 800th Career Win

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Bailey Burger-Moore hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh Friday to give the Williams College softball team a 6-5 win over Hamilton and coach Kris Herman the 800th win of her career.   Burger-Moore went 2-for-4 with a home run, and Ronni Ramos and Mara Kipnis also homered for Williams.   Elyse Chan earned the win in the circle, striking out a pair.   Herman won 339 games in 16 seasons her alma mater, Tufts University, before coming to Williams in 2004.   In addition to her personal milestone, Friday's win clinched a NESCAC playoff berth for Williams.   Williams (21-13, 5-5) hosts Hamilton for a double-header on Saturday
