Bay State Games Returns to Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Bay State Games are set to host the 36th annual Winter Games in the Berkshires in 2023, the first since early 2020.    Since the breakout of COVID-19, Bay State Games has not been able to hold Winter Games in the Berkshires after celebrating 35 years in the Berkshires weeks before the pandemic began.   The 2023 Figure Skating competition will take place Jan. 14 and 15, 2023 at Williams College in Williamstown. This competition will feature more than 400 skaters from Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.    Skaters ranging in age from 5 to over 65 represent the United State Figure Skating Association or the

Williams Men's Hockey Tops Babson

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Connor Tobin scored in overtime Saturday to give the Williams College men's hockey team a 2-1 win over Babson.   Henry Muller scored with an assist from Ethan Prout in the first period to give Williams a 1-0 lead.   Evan Ruschil stopped 48 shots to earn the win in goal.   Williams (1-2) travels to face SUNY-Geneseo on Sunday.

New Parents Invited to Bring Infants to Clark

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — On Friday, Dec. 2, at 10:15 am, the Clark Art Institute hosts a tour of the permanent collection galleries for new parents.    The event is free. Participants will meet at the Clark's main Admissions desk.   New parents and caregivers are invited to bring their infants into the galleries for an informal, guided visit. Williamstown Planners Hones Manufactured Home, Frontage, Multi-Family Bylaws

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Planning Board this month reached a consensus in principle on three bylaw amendments it wants to start promoting this winter.   But the board still needs advice from town counsel before moving forward on one of the three.   A couple of the proposals have ties to a series of warrant articles that were referred back to the Planning Board by last year's annual town meeting.
