Images Cinema to Host David Lynch Film Series| 04:00PM / Tuesday, February 04, 2025 | |
 WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Images Cinema will present a special film series celebrating the works of filmmaker David Lynch. The series will feature screenings of Lynch’s films alongside restored short films, with main theater showings scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays at 9:45 p.m. The event will also include themed lounge gatherings beginning at 9 p.m., with additional screenings in the lounge throughout the week. The series will begin on February 7-8 with Blue Velvet (1986), paired with Lynch’s short film The Grandmother (1969). Other featured films include Mulholland Drive (2001), Lost Highway (1997), Wild at Heart (1990), Inland Empire (2006), and Twin Peaks: Fire Walk

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Several residents of the Highland Woods senior apartments were relocated overnight Monday after a malfunction in the sprinkler system caused water damage in three units, a representative of the management company said on Tuesday. Kristin Coyne, the director of portfolio operations for Hearthway, said the first emergency calls came in at about 10 p.m. Monday. "Those residents were moved to a hotel for the time being," Coyne said on Tuesday afternoon. "We haven't gotten much information [about the cause of the leak]. Many of us grew up learning about Nazi Germany, asked to reflect on what we would have done had we lived through its rise. Maybe we even imagined ourselves resisting, speaking out, or helping those in danger.
Today, the president is reviving Guantanamo as a concentration camp, rounding up immigrants, dismantling scientific institutions, abandoning public safety, rolling back civil rights, and systematically erasing queer people. This is not a thought experiment. However we choose to act now is the answer to the question we once asked ourselves.
