It was a busy year for athletes throughout Berkshire County, and iBerkshires.com was lucky enough to capture some of their many accomplishments on video.   Here is a look back at just some of the high points:   January Drury’s Owen Taylor scores in the last second to give his team a 3-2 win at Wahconah.   February Taconic’s Noah Poirier gets a pin to win an individual Western Mass title and help the Thunder earn a team sectional crown.   The first wave of boys heads out at the state Nordic Ski Championships, where Mount Greylock defended its team title.   Maya Duhamel rolls a strike to help Taconic win the Berkshire County

Williams College Graduate Students Tours Through the Clark

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — On Friday, Jan. 13, students in the Williams College/Clark Graduate Program in the History of Art will share their thoughts on an object in the Clark's permanent collection through the perspective of new scholarship.    Tours begin in the Museum Pavilion at noon.   Admission to the Clark is free from January through March 2023. Fundamentals for Safe Ice Fishing

MONTPELIER, Vt. — With the start of the new year, many Vermonters are preparing for ice fishing.    "If you're looking for a fun, easy way to get outdoors with friends and family this winter, ice fishing is hard to top," said Fisheries Biologist Shawn Good.  "It's quick to learn, affordable and generally more accessible and social than open water fishing."   In light of Vermont's recent warm weather, the department stresses that anglers take ice safety seriously and recommends a few basic tips and precautions.   "A minimum of three to four inches of clear black ice is safe to walk on," advised Good.  "If

I just posted the following as a comment to Mr. Dravis' article on 2022 in Williamstown. Many in Williamstown rely on Mr. Dravis' reporting as their primary source of local news. With that influence comes responsibility.

Williams Men's Basketball, Women's Hockey Win

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Cole Prowitt-Smith scored 16 points Monday to lead the Williams College men's basketball team to a 68-56 win over Vassar.   Spencer Spivy and Declan Porter each scored 11 points for Williams (12-0), which goes to Amherst on Friday.   Women's Hockey WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Maddie Tix had a goal and an assist Monday to lead Williams to a 5-0 win over Manhattanville.   Erin Pye made 19 saves to get the win in goal for Williams (6-4), which goes to Wesleyan on Friday.

Dee and Radiation Oncologist Matthew Vernon to present the proceeds of SERVPRO's second Charity Golf Tournament.   "This is such a meaningful contribution to our health system and local cancer patients," said Dee. Williamstown Community Preschool Installs New Signage

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Williamstown Community Preschool began sprucing up its new home by hiring local sign maker Lindsay Neathawk, owner of Neathawk Signs and Design, to create a 3D sign for the business.

Neathawk installed the sign late Monday afternoon that features multicolored hand prints from the children as the leaves of a tree poking out of the top. Underneath the name and address "a place to grow" is written. The children's hand prints were taken at the school and Neathawk then scanned them into her design programs to create the sign.
