Clark Art Participates in Williamstown's Holiday Walk Weekend

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Clark Art Institute joins in the community-wide celebration of the holidays during Williamstown's 40th Annual Holiday Walk weekend, held the first weekend in December.    The Clark kicks off the festivities on Dec. 1 with a live concert by Johnny Irion and U.S. Elevator. On Dec. 2, the Clark hosts art-making activities and horse-drawn carriage rides. The Institute's popular First Sundays Free program continues on Sunday, Dec. 3. Offering free admission to the galleries and special exhibitions from 10 am–5 pm, the day also features a series of light-themed special activities from 1–4 pm, and a special production by Williamstown

Pine Cobble School to Host Open House

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Pine Cobble School will host an open house from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, its first such fall event in the post-pandemic era.    Open to all families, this free event gives parents and guardians a chance to tour the school's eighteen-acre, historic campus; learn about the school's curriculum, arts and sports programs, and more; meet with teachers, administrators, and current Pine Cobble families; and get any questions answered about the school. Williamstown Community Preschool Installs New Signage

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Williamstown Community Preschool began sprucing up its new home by hiring local sign maker Lindsay Neathawk, owner of Neathawk Signs and Design, to create a 3D sign for the business.

Neathawk installed the sign late Monday afternoon that features multicolored hand prints from the children as the leaves of a tree poking out of the top. Underneath the name and address "a place to grow" is written. The children's hand prints were taken at the school and Neathawk then scanned them into her design programs to create the sign.
