Williamstown Farms Awarded State Grants

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Fairfield Dairy Farm and Bonnie Lea Farm both received Climate Smart Agriculture Program (CSAP) grants   The Healey-Driscoll Administration announced $1.75 million in CSAP grants to 56 Massachusetts agricultural operations to implement management practices that will help them adapt to changing climate conditions and enhance their contributions to meeting the state's carbon reduction and climate change mitigation goals.    "Our farmers see the devastating impacts of climate change every day. Williams Men's Basketball Comes Back to Win at Wesleyan

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. -- Cole Prowitt Smith scored in the paint with 27 seconds left to give the Williams College men's basketball team the lead for good in a 62-60 win over Wesleyan on Saturday.   Williams trailed by 10 points with just less than nine minutes left but went on a 14-4 run to tie it, 54-54, with 3:29 on the clock.   Alex Lee scored 19 points to lead Williams, which got 12 from Nate Karren.   Williams (7-1) hosts SUNY Oneonta on Tuesday.   Women's Basketball WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Arianna Gerig scored 28 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Williams to a 70-60 win over Babson.   Mairi Smith and Ellie Tounkara each scored 10 points for Williams

Williamstown Community Preschool Installs New Signage

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Williamstown Community Preschool began sprucing up its new home by hiring local sign maker Lindsay Neathawk, owner of Neathawk Signs and Design, to create a 3D sign for the business.

Neathawk installed the sign late Monday afternoon that features multicolored hand prints from the children as the leaves of a tree poking out of the top. Underneath the name and address "a place to grow" is written. The children's hand prints were taken at the school and Neathawk then scanned them into her design programs to create the sign.
