Clark Art Offers Gallery Tour for Parents and Infants

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — On Saturday, Nov. 2 at 10:15 am, the Clark Art Institute hosts the next in its series of free tours of its permanent collection galleries designed specifically to meet the interests of new parents/caregivers and their infants.   Participants should meet at the Clark's main admissions desk.    The program is specially designed to provide new parents and caregivers with a stress-free experience that offers chances to socialize with others who are caring for young infants. Williams College Gets $105M in Bonding for WCMA, Capital Projects

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Williams College has received more than $105 million bonding toward construction of the new art museum and other campus capital projects.    The college announced on Monday that MassDevelopment has issued a $105,820,000 tax-exempt bond on behalf of the president and Trustees of Williams College.    The organization will use bond proceeds to finance several projects on the college's campus, including (1) building and equipping a new art museum and multipurpose recreation center, (2) implementing the college's energy and carbon master plan, (3) renovating and equipping dormitories and dining facilities, (4) reimbursing the college for

Mount Greylock Making Lighting Improvements on Campus

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The new field and track is not the only upgrade to Mount Greylock's outdoor athletic facilities this fall.   In addition to the new multisport grass field ringed by an eight-lane running track, the school is slated next month to have the lights at its current varsity soccer/lacrosse field retrofitted with new LED fixtures.   Interim Superintendent Joseph Bergeron said Thursday that the new lights will be mounted on the existing poles around John T. Clark Art Gifted 331 Works, Endowment to Build New Wing

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The Clark Art Institute has received one of the largest gifts in its history from the foundation of the late philanthropist Aso O. Tavitian.    The gift includes 331 works of art from Tavitian's personal collection and more than $45 million to endow a curatorial position to oversee the collection, provide necessary support for the collection's long-term care, and fund construction of a new Aso O. Williamstown Nov. 5 Ballot Includes CPA Tax Exemption

Henderson Making a Mark at Springfield College

Monument Mountain alum Erving Henderson is making an impact in his first year on the Springfield College men's soccer team.   Henderson scored a pair of goals in the Pride's 3-1 win over Worcester State on Oct. 8. He has appeared in 11 games this season, collecting those two goals and an assist, and he has started once for the Pride.   Springfield College (5-6-2) hosts Wheaton College on Saturday.   Brody Calvert (Wahconah) a sophomore at Mass Maritime, leads his team with five goals this fall.
