 WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Images Cinema announced An Evening With Academy Award-Winner Ted Tally on Wednesday, Oct.16. Ted Tally, the Academy Award-winning screenwriter of "The Silence of the Lambs" for Best Adapted Screenplay, will be in conversation with American novelist Jim Shepard following a screening of "The Silence of the Lambs" on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Starting at 6pm there will be a cash bar with specialty drinks in the Images Cinema lounge and lobby.  WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — The North Berkshire Contra Dance will hold its monthly community contra dance on Saturday, Oct. 12, with live fiddle music, and all dances taught by caller Quena Crain. Come alone or with a partner; most people change partners for each dance throughout the evening. New dancers and families with children are encouraged to arrive by 7:30 for instruction in the basics. Music will be provided by Cedar Stanistreet on fiddle and Michael Sokolovsky on guitar -- the duo version of the popular contra dance band, Sycamore. According to a press release: Quadrille, inspired by an eighteenth-century dance from France to the Caribbean, merges contemporary ballet with chamber music. New Chamber Ballet's six dancers and a cellist perform Miro Magloire’s choreography, reflecting folk dance symmetries from his Haitian heritage.  PITTSFIELD, Mass. – The Berkshire Running Foundation is eager to kick off the fundraising efforts surrounding the 9th annual MountainOne Thankful 5K to be held on Thanksgiving morning, Nov. 28 at 9 a.m. at Berkshire Community College. This year the Thankful 5K expands to include walkers, virtual participants and a new training program for the community. The annual event is a fundraiser hosted by the Foundation to raise much needed funds for the South Community Food Pantry and the local Fuel Assistance Fund.
